This belief was the vision of M. O. John, the visionary founder, entrepreneur and humanitarian behind Double Horse with ideas far ahead of his time.
In 1959, he brought this vision to life by establishing Manjilas, the parent company of Double Horse, as a rice milling enterprise focused on delivering high-quality grains. His pioneering approach set new standards in Kerala’s food industry, marked by an unwavering focus on quality, transparency, and trust.
More than six decades later, his legacy continues to shape the brand’s values. Every Double Horse product carries forward that original promise - food that is honest, consistent, and made with purpose.
