Method of Preparation:
Aval Unda:
Roast Double Horse Red Aval and grind it to a coarse form.- Mix 1/2 cup of jaggery powder or Sugar powder and 1 cup of fresh grated coconut with 1 cup of Aval powder. Blend it thoroughly and make small balls of Aval (Poha) laddus. Garnish laddus with Raisins, Cashew Nut, Cherry etc, if required.
Aval Vilayichathu:
Dissolve 1 cup (200g) of Jaggery in 1 cup of water and heat till it concentrates. Add 1 cup of Aval and ½ cup of grated coconut and mix well.. Add fried coconut slices, Cashew Nuts & Raisins for better taste.
